About Sarah Legg

My Journey

My journey started back in 2006. This is where I discovered my heart for helping people. Though my own life, I have been through many struggles, and life has not been easy in parts. From these experiences of different challenges, I found the compassion and understanding to help others. I have a huge range of work experiences - including pupil support in schools, working with family support, and also adult/young people counselling,

Through my training as a counsellor, I have developed as a person, and gained confidence, self respect and a drive for life. I have been able to find direction and work out what I need to do to live a happier, healthier life. The journey has not been easy, but it has been rewarding and has led me to have a real passion for helping others.

Professional and caring support

Please feel free to contact me and ask any questions about the counselling process. If you are happy to go ahead with counselling, we can then arrange a time to meet that suits us both. People are often nervous on the first appointment - which is to be expected - so please don't let this deter you from attending.

I respect that finding the right counsellor for you is very important - as trust and openness are key to a successful counselling process and above all, we both need to feel comfortable with each other. If we feel at any point that you would benefit from a different counselling perspective, I would respect your wishes and work alongside you to enable a smooth transition to another form of counselling/ counsellor.

Discussing key issues in your life with someone who will listen properly and without judgement can help you to unravel the problems and to make sense of them. I believe that everyone has the potential to overcome their issues through talking therapy and go on to live a happier and healthier life.

There are many approaches to counselling which can be confusing for someone seeking the help of a qualified practitioner, I am trained in Integrative Counselling this looks at a person as whole, Integrative counselling will look different in every therapeutic relationship, because as a therapist I bring my own experiences and perspectives to the encounter, and the Integrative model is applied flexibly to meet the needs of the individual client.
